About the Program

The Guest House Crisis Stabilization Center (est. 2020) is a10-bed, licensed Crisis Residential Treatment Facility that offers expert services and support for individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis. This 24-hour program will serve as a diversion to the emergency room, and will offer a low stimulation, professionally staffed, therapeutic environment for those with mental health needs to safely and effectively de-escalate through appropriate interventions, supervision, and physical safeguards.

Position Details

We are looking to hire a Residential Therapist (Qualified Mental Health Professional) who possess a combination of skills and QMHP credentials to provide clinical services at the Guest House CSC, RTF in Eugene/Springfield, OR.  This position will perform crisis assessments for individuals experiencing crisis that are in need of short-term support and stabilization. This position requires the ability to assist with training and clinical oversight of the Residential Associates who provide the 24-hour residential support services to the residents. The QMHP will report to the Facility Administrator for day-to-day supervision and work assignments, and be supervised by the ColumbiaCare Clinical Director for clinical standards and quality improvement. Ability to work in person/telehealth as needed during this pandemic.         

Work Schedule: Typically, Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:00pm with schedule flexibility as needed

This position requires the ability to perform a Comprehensive Mental Health Assessment, Assessment Updates and Treatment Plan. The QMHP will also provide clinical oversight and consultation to facility staff and liaison with other community providers. This position will work collaboratively with community agencies to ensure appropriate admission to the program and provide warm hand-off to behavioral health services aftercare. Successful applicants must be accessible by telephone for emergency purposes and provide responsible support, documentation and follow-up in a timely manner. In addition, you will receive crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.

Qualifications

MUST be QMHP Certified through Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) -OR- MEET eligibility qualifications to register with MHACBO

MUST meet State of Oregon QMHP credentials:

  1. Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field; <OR> Bachelor's degree in Nursing and be Licensed by the State of Oregon 
  1. MUST meet OAR requirement for QMHP by having completed TWO (2) YEARS of post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health treatment setting 

Successful applicants MUST have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and have the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Salary & Benefits

$4,000-$5,500 per month/DOE and QMHP credentials. This is a salary exempt position.
